BL movie at its most natural.
Recommended for all first timers to BL movies.
Boys Love 1 was so full of angst and pain, needs some getting used to. And its very focussed on the love theme. I still love this one, it just depresses me every time I watch it. And trust me, I have redone this movie more than 10 times.
Boys Love 2 was a little less angst and pain, a bit more school drama.
Sukitomo was not really BL, its just sweet.
Itsuka no kimi e was probably quite natural as well, but I dun know whether its me, Takumi just makes my heart aches.
Takumin's そして春風にささやいて was a no brainer and its good mainly for the eye candies, take it as hanadan BL version!!
But 愛の言霊 is really nicely done. You know how people tend to over do the BL all romance out of this world pure love thing, well 愛の言霊 does not. It focuses on the lives of 大谷晋也and 立花 都, both university students, in the middle of a steady relationship and living together for more than 2 years. No distressed uke or "my balls are these big" seme. Both are pretty normal chaps trying to adjust to their lives together and at the same time coping with university lives. Scenes at home are normal, they cook, eat, chat and do some homework, gossip about frens and the occassional quarrel happens.
齋藤ヤスカ of the oh so famous andro look plays the playful 立花都, who's always skipping school and bumming around at home. But contrary to his playful exterior, tachibana is the one who has given a lot of consideration into maintaining the relationship with Otani. The steady and sometimes quite hot-headed 大谷晋也 is played by 徳山秀典 ( of Kamen rider Kabuto fame!). He is like your regular boy next door. No dark secrets, no dark background. Its just your regular couple trying to juggle school, part-time job, apartment rental and the ocassional classmates that come along.
